Opening:

The following will be the opening for the game:

It is the in the month of Kythorn, known as the Time of Flowers, it being the 20th of Kythron, the summer solstice. Each of you have been traveling on the highways to the town of Thunderstone, where an annual week-long Solstice festival occurs. Recently Thunderstone has become incorporated into the kingdom of Cormyr (King Azoun the 5th) The Kingdom of Cormyr has asked that a census be taken at this time during the week of the festival to get an approximation of what the new burden to the kingdom this frontier town will be.

The highways have been packed with travelers, Each of you are traveling to the small town of Thunderstone, each with your own agenda, you all have crossed paths on the highway to the town, defending a small merchant caravan from a maurading band of Hobgoblins.

It is now evening, You now find yourself entering the Green Dragon Pub, one of the many over-crowded pubs. It is overflowing with customers, by the looks of it, mostly out-of-towners and commoners that have came for the festival and census.

Characters

I've written/created 7 characters that the players can choose from. The players can also bring thier own characters, or make some modificaitons to these, like gender, name, etc. (just not stats) This is the run-down on their personalities. Full backstories will only be given out to the player that chooses that character to play.

Almar – Human Paladin (Errand Kit)
Personality
In every essence, Almar is the shining knight from stories past. He is a tall and lean man, yet possesses a strength almost unparalleled. He has been in the service of Lord Brom from Ordulin in the nearby land of Sembia since a child, and has been a devoted follower and servant to Lord Brom. One month ago he was defending Brom’s merchant vessels on the Inner Sea and was boarded by a band of raiders and many of his comrades died. Since then he has had some trauma and his lord has given him a reprieve from his usual tasks to take this trip to Thunderstone.

Clover – Elven Priestess of the Hunt (Cleric)Wood elf from a small community in Cormanthor.
Personality
Clover is shy yet strong. Her quietness is matched by her fierocity. She leads a small group of elves and human rangers in the forest near Mistledale, some of the last remenants of the Wood Elves’ traditions.

Roland– Mage
Personality
Abandoned in Waterdeep, Roland never knew his parents. He has always associated more with humans and attempts to conceal his birthrights. Not a shy man, nor experienced, he does prefer academic pursuits or the study of the Arts than the studies of mankind.

Righteous Nimblefingers – Gnome Priest of Luck/Rogue
Personality –
As a extreme devout worshipper of Tymora the goddess of luck, Righteous has become quite the gambling fiend. A good-natured rogue, always up for some excitement as long as there’s a profit involved. His long ambition to open a gambling hall/temple of Tymora in a town, that hasn’t kicked him out yet is still in the works. Is not a member of a thieves guilds, and generally considers them a waste of time and resources… “eDues, what are dues?”

Prickett – Dwarven Bard/Historian
Personality
Prickett is from the Sword Coast, many miles to the East of Thunderstone. Born of a noble and powerful family, Prickett followed the path of his family disowned uncle and left his inheritance for the tales of the tavern. He has taken the life of the bard, being a jack-of-all-trades and focuses on story-telling. Not a musical bone in his stout body, Prickett does have a story or tale about just about everything and after some time many wonder what is true and what is not.

Tomas – Halfling warrior
Personality
“The bigger they are, the harder they fall.” Tomas is a local hero that has become quiet the well-known figure.
